MetaCompliance delivers automated cybersecurity and compliance solutions for its globally dispersed clientele. The company needed a more efficient framework for deploying secure cloud-based environments while controlling costs and maintaining high-quality service delivery.
We used Microsoft Azure to build a platform supporting MetaCompliance’s delivery of its solutions globally. The latest deployment methodologies, including infrastructure-as-code, were used to enable fast, predictable, and secure deployments.
With clients in Europe, North America, South America and Asia, MetaCompliance is a global solutions provider helping organisations manage the people-related risks surrounding cybersecurity, data protection, and compliance. But as the company’s global presence has grown, new challenges have strained its cost model.
Each new MetaCompliance client required the development of its own cloud infrastructure environment specific to that company’s security and compliance requirements. But the resource cost of this development was cutting into the company’s profit margins.
To maintain its global expansion, the company required a more cost-efficient, streamlined process for developing these environments. This appropriate cost model also needed to be achieved without compromising the quality of its services.
“We had already built a highly optimised solution for building cloud environments in local markets. But to allow for global expansion, we needed a different approach. If we build something that works really well for a client in Ireland, how can we deliver the same performance and experience to someone in Japan? Thanks to Codec, we have the answer.''
MetaCompliance was already using Azure to build and deliver hybrid cloud environments when it first connected with Codec. With more than 200 physical data centres around the world, Microsoft Azure offered a truly global presence to facilitate the delivery of custom-built environments into the appropriate region.
But a geo-dispersed presence wasn’t the only benefit of using Azure to deliver cloud environments. The platform’s distributed approach to networking, database management, and security provided an agile development model for quickly creating cost-optimised environments through an infrastructure-as-code methodology. By building this process into the company’s devops model, Codec enabled an automated, code-based approach that facilitated the creation of new environments simply by scheduling the release of that code within the appropriate workflow.
With faster delivery timelines, reduced developer labour and more agile development within new global markets, Codec helped MetaCompliance achieve the cost-optimisations necessary to continue its global expansion—and the growth of the company’s profit margins.
Since its launch, MetaCompliance’s new cloud infrastructure solution has become part of its core service offerings, accelerating its ability to expand its global customer base.
By helping the company transition to code-based development framework, Codec’s infrastructure solution delivered the following outcomes:
“Codec has a customer first approach to solution delivery. For MetaCompliance we understand the desired outcomes and experiences they want to deliver to their clients and we provide the right technical solution to do so.”
